The Bangor Roller Derby league is dusting off their Afros, bell-bottom pants, and platform shoes to get ready for this year’s Motor Booty Affair Fundraiser! During this premiere event, hundreds of members of our community will come together to raise money for specific charities in the area. The Motor Booty Affair Fundraiser will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Morgan Hill Event Center in Hermon, Maine. Doors open at 6:00 P.M. 

Sure, Bangor Roller Derby likes to skate, but derby is so much more than that. Our real mission is to become a positive, local showcase for the empowerment of women everywhere. This is why our 2011-2012 focus charity is Spruce Run. This fantastic organization will receive a portion of the proceeds from this great event!

Bangor Roller Derby promises you a great time! During this event, guests will enjoy refreshments and light eating throughout the entire event, a cash bar, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and one of the greatest disco/funk party bands in the country– Motor Booty Affair!

A major part of the evening’s festivities is the Silent Auction. Please help us make the 2012 Silent Auction the most successful ever by donating an item or gift certificate. The Bangor Roller Derby is a non-profit, member-financed operation, and Spruce Run is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, funded primarily by the generous donations of people and businesses in the community. This means your donation is tax-deductible. All silent auction donors will be acknowledged on the promotion posters, on our website, and in the silent auction room during the event. We would like to get all donations to us by March 31st, 2012.

By donating to Bangor Roller Derby, a portion of your gift will support Spruce Runs amazing services including their hotline, advocacy work, groups, shelter & transitional housing, prevention & training, youth activities, and community awareness activities. Your gift demonstrates your commitment to creating a community in which domestic abuse and violence will not be tolerated.
