How can you get involved with Bangor Roller Derby? We’re glad you asked.
First, we want to make it completely clear that anyone can get involved in one way or another. Even if you aren’t looking to be the next star jammer, we want you. Opportunities exist for refs, announcers, non-skating judges, and more.
If you’re interested in joining as a skater, we’re looking for you. There is no typical roller derby player. Players come in every shape and size, from any age group, and from all walks of life.
NO experience is necessary to become a great roller derby player. If you have the dedication, we will make sure you get the training.
However, Roller Derby is a serious commitment. Whether it’s practices, bouts, meetings, or other events, a decent amount of time is required, as is a LOT of effort.

I’ve always thought roller Derby would be awesome. and who knew right here in Bangor! is there any insurance needed? i have heard such things in others state. well sign me up i want to have fun and get in shape!
Yes, we ask our skaters to purchase insurance through USARS which we can help you with. If you are interested please email bangorrollerderby@gmail.com
